Eckman, Inc. , awarded amount is $3,367,585.57** Network No. 7009920 This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform the asphalt resurfacing of the Norristown Interchange at MP 333.28. Additional work includes guide rail and barrier removal or replacement, inlet repair or replacement, drainage swale repairs, and side slope repairs. Also included is traffic control and erosion and sedimentation control. Major work items include the following: 913 CY Excavation (Class 1 and 2) 5,065 TON Asphalt Materials (Wearing and Binder Courses) 504 TON Subbase No. 2A (Includes Subbase Under Guide Rail) 44,146 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface (Various Depths) 12 EACH Inlet Top Units, Type M 3,022 SY Shoulder Backup 401 SY Rock Lining, Class R-4 755 LF Rock Armor 678 CY Rock Blanket 2,137.5 LF Guide Rail, Various Types 1,054 LF Concrete Median Barrier, 34" 6,218 LF Preformed Patterned Reflective Pavement Markings 21,248 LF Waterborne Pavement Markings Milepost 333.28 is located within the Norristown Interchange, Exit 333, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
