Site work and paving for a civil project in Liberty, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
Work will generally include but is not limited to: 1. Installation and maintenance of a 6-inch diameter temporary water main with a temporary support system and appurtenances over the stream and compliance with NYSDEC streamwork permit requirements 2. Removal and disposal of the existing bridge water main crossing pipe, beam, and appurtenances 3. Removal and storage of two fire hydrants for reinstallation 4. Provide approximately 150 lineal feet of new 12" ductile iron water main, I-beam support, hold downs insulation and appurtenances supported off of the new Sullivan County bridge abutments. 5. Removal of all temporary facilities 6. Site Restoration Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Bidders are advised that Labor and Material and Performance Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract prices, as well as a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating required coverage, shall be provided by the successful bidder(s). In addition, the successful bidder(s) shall provide a one-year maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price at the completion of work. All work will need to be coordinated with the Sullivan County Division of Public Works Bridge Replacement project and the Village of Liberty Water Department. Work for the temporary crossing needs to proceed as soon as possible; permanent work is to be completed by August 12, 2022, unless otherwise adjusted and agreed to with the Village and the County.
