McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the above project. The project will be an Addition and Remodel to the Ticketing Hall at the Reno Tahoe Airport. The project is expected to be out for bid June 2022. Scopes of work associated with this building include improvements to the existing Ticketing Hall and new approx. 10,000 SF of addition. The renovation area includes passenger circulation and associated passenger queuing, passenger seating areas, west-side tenant and facilities spaces, vestibule, and exterior curbside area. The renovation and expansion will include new circulation, flex space, renovated queuing area, ground services, new restroom facilities, and tenant spaces. Included is the replacement and relocation of existing elevator, new and modifications to structural systems, new and modifications to the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, IT, and Security systems, and site work to include hardscape and utility renovation. In addition to any requirements that the Owner may have, McCarthy requires that: 1. Subcontractors having subcontract amounts over $500,000 and exterior skin scopes of work including waterproofing, roofing, plaster and fall protection systems, contractors provide performance and payment bonds and 2. Suppliers having purchase order amounts greater than $500,000 provide contract supply bonds. All bonds are to be for 100% of the subcontract or purchase order amount, as applicable, and from a surety listed in U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and have an A.M. Best Rating of A- or better. If your firm is listed as a proposed subcontractor in any listing required by law or the contract documents, such listing and subsequent award of a subcontract is contingent on your firm providing bonds meeting both Owner and McCarthy requirements.
