The work for which bids are asked includes the following: reconstruction of Depot Street from Janesville Place through the Old Highway 11/South Street intersection. Planned improvements include selected storm sewer inlet replacements and associated storm sewer connections, hydrant replacements, sanitary sewer manhole rehabilitation, and road reconstruction. The road reconstruction includes removal of the existing curb & gutter, removal of the existing asphalt pavement and underlying concrete pavement, placement of new base course, construction of new curb & gutter, construction of curb ramps and connecting sidewalk as necessary, and asphalt surface paving. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages.
