Waupaca County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities, or accept the proposal most advantageous to the County of Waupaca. The successful proposal will be awarded by the Park and Recreation Committee on the basis of which proposal best fits the requirements of Waupaca County. Waupaca County Parks is requesting proposals for a new ADA compliant canoe and kayak dock-launch. This structure will be placed at Gill's Landing Park on the Wolf River, East of Weyauwega at the end of County Highway F. The intention is to have a dock/launch that will function similar to the one installed on the Waupaca River just below the dam in the City of Weyauwega. The general specifications are listed below: General Specifications: Dock must meet current ADA guidelines. Must have a drive-in/on ramp section that will fit most common canoes and kayaks. Must have a transfer bench system to ease transfer from boat to wheel chair and back. Main section of dock must have appropriate curbing and be a minimum of 9' x 13' in size. The in-water portions of the dock must be of a floating design with an anchoring system that will allow for the changes in water level throughout the warm seasons. The gangway to the main floating section will be a minimum of 5' wide by 12' long. There must be a transition plate to tie in the gangway with the shore in an ADA compliant way. The County will construct the required pathway from the parking lot to the transition plate. Shipping to site will be included in the proposal. Assembly and first-time installation on site shall be included in proposal.
