The Douglas County Board of Commissioners (County) is seeking sealed bids from qualified firms to provide the construction of a pavilion, restroom, gravel parking lot, and pedestrian bridge at the Punkintown Nature Preserve. All questions regarding this bid shall be in writing via email to dcpurchasing@douglascountyga.gov. No questions shall be received after 5:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Responses will be provided by 5:00 p.m. ET, Friday, April 22, 2022. Contact the purchasing department via email at dcpurchasing@douglascountyga.gov for all questions. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Board of Commissioners of Douglas County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the Bid for the complete work. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Board of Commissioners of Douglas County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Liability Insurance Certificate within fifteen (15) calendar days after being notified that he/she has been awarded the contract. A required performance bond is to be 100% of the contract amount and a required payment bond is to be 100% of the contract amount. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all offers, waive technicalities, and informalities, and to make an award in the best interest of the County.
