As of April 30, 2024, demolition is complete and shoring and deep foundations are underway. An outreach event will be held on April 27, 2022, from 5:30PM-7:30PM at the John Chavis Memorial Park Community Center, 505 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Raleigh, NC. The ECT project is located at the intersection West Hargett and South McDowell Streets and consists of a 420,000 SF, 20 story civic tower atop one partial level of below grade service basement. The building is a structural concrete frame with precast, curtainwall, and punched openings on the exterior.
