Renovation of a mixed-use development in Marion, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Statement of Work: Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to for tuckpointing and sealing the exterior masonry walls, steps, limestone, brick, block and concrete walls, windows, and doorways* for Buildings 15, 16, 17 and their connecting corridors; 52, 58, 124 and 138 on the Marion VA Campus. INSPECT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and expert supervision to visually inspect the entire buildings' exterior walls and all exterior surfaces and interior of parapets, door, and window edges (exterior only) and seams of parapet caps, for voids, caulking, loose and/or deteriorated mortar. REPOINT (Tuckpoint): Remove loose and/or deteriorated mortar and caulk with grinder if necessary. Clean of all loose mortar and/or caulking, dirt and debris. Prepare mortar on site with a recorded "recipe" to ensure consistent mortar mix that matches: color, texture, and style. Install masonry and stone joints as prescribed were removed or missing and tool finish as required to match existing exact. Add the cost to remove cracked, spalled, and/or deteriorated brick and replace with the same including the mortar joint. Prep and Repair structural cracks. CAULKING: Remove loose and old, cracked caulking from exterior windows and doors where the frame and/or trim meets the masonry or stone both interior and exterior. Clean the voided area of loose caulk, dirt and debris. Re-caulk as prescribed in the project documents. GLAZING: Inspect and Remove existing glazing sealant from exterior windows Clean (prepare surface) and install new glazing sealant as prescribed in the project documents. SEALING: Install colorless water repellant to the exterior surfaces of the brick, stone, and concrete to water seal prior to completion of the project. Clean (prep) all surfaces and protect surrounding surfaces including vegetative areas around and/or below area of work. Work to be completed within 200 calendar days from notice to proceed. All work to be completed at the VA- Northern Indiana Health Care - Marion Campus, 1700 E. 38th. Street, Marion, IN 46953. The following documents are to be included in the bid submission: (1) An original, fully completed and signed SF 1442 Offer page. (2) Acknowledgment of any amendments issued either via completing block 19 of the SF1442 or completing blocks 15a, b, and c of the Amendment and attaching to the SF 1442 Offer page. (3) An original, fully completed bid schedule. The Base Bid amount for the entire project is entered in block 17 of the SF1442 Offer page. (4) An original, completed and signed SF 24 Bid Bond. (5) Completed Representations and Certifications section beginning on page # 21. Any other documents referenced in the solicitation that are to be provided and not specifically mentioned here. If necessary, subsequent revisions will be posted to the solicitation via amendment prior to bid opening. Revision may also be applicable prior to any contract award. RFIs must be specific identifying section, paragraph and page no. of the specifications or cite the drawing number and must be in question format. All RFIs submitted shall include the solicitation number and title, contractor name, city, state, telephone, email address, date submitted, and the RFI question(s). RFI responses will be posted to https://sam.gov/ as necessary in amendment format. Deadline for submission of RFIs for this solicitation is close of business 05/06/2022. No questions will be answered after this date unless determined to be in the best interest of the Government as deemed by the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests for information will not be accepted or returned.
