We will be holding this meeting virtually and people who want to attend the bid opening meeting must do so by telephone. The conference call information will be provided by the engineer upon issuing of bid documents. No faxed bids will be accepted. Any proposals received after the closing time will be returned unopened. The Cool Water Phase 5 project includes the subdivision of approximately 66.95 acres of land into approximately 392 residential units. This project includes water, sewer, and associated drainage improvements. The Bidders Check will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within ten (10) days after award of the contract. No proposals shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive all formalities in the bidding process. The Owner also reserves the right to determine which bid is lowest and the best, and to award the contract on this basis. It should be noted that time is of the essence on this project. A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of 1 year from the date of the letter of final acceptance from the District.
