To perform all services associated with solar plan reviews and inspections to ensure and enforce that applicable codes are met to safeguard the safety and health of the public for a period of five (5) years, with full services, including, but not limited to: 1. Review solar plans, specifications, and calculations of residential and/or commercial installations with more emphasis on residential. 2. Be knowledgeable of current methods including zero export solar systems, materials, tools, and equipment used in the solar industry. 3. Prepare documentation to be used by City staff to issue proper permits. 4. Attend site visits and meetings with City staff, property owners, developers, etc. as requested. 5. Respond to questions by solar installers on behalf of the City as requested. 6. Have the proper certifications to ensure the current codes are followed. 7. Provide plan review training to City staff as requested. 8. Be committed to finalize reviews within ten (10) business days while providing quality service. It is expected that the City will enter into a contract with the successful respondent for a period of five years, with an option for five one-year extensions, for a total of five years. The City may terminate its agreement with any Consultant if it finds that terminating that agreement is in the City’s best interest. It is incumbent upon each respondent to carefully examine these specifications, terms and conditions contained in this RFP. Any clarification or additional information shall be made in writing to the appropriate person called out on the cover page prior to July 20, 2022. When appropriate, the City will respond through written means. If the City must revise or amend any part of this RFP, notice will be given to all respondents who are registered when receiving this RFP. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
