The City of Hillsboro requests competitive proposals from qualified and experienced electrical contractors (Proposers) to: Provide all materials, labor, and equipment as identified in Volume 2 Drawings to install and make operational an electrical and lighting system for an artist designed Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) pedestrian safety fencing improvement on the NE Brookwood Parkway-NW Helvetia Road-US Highway 26 overpass concurrently with ODOT provided timeline and road closures. The installation must adhere to night work conditions during the ODOT road closures. The City of Hillsboro has procured the long lead time equipment and materials required for installation on this project. Contractor will install luminaires to agency-provided luminaire arms and package for delivery (to be installed on bridge by others), pull electrical cables and conductors, mount junction boxes, and install all other required components on and off bridge to make the light system operational. The scope of work will require coordination with ODOT and their contractor, Carter and Company, LLC. This RFP is authorized under ORS 279C.355 and the City's Public Contracting Rules COH-49-0145 (2). This solicitation is for construction of a Public Work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (prevailing wage law).
