This request for statement of qualifications will be used to select qualified contractors to provide a construction bid to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. A Public Works Contractors License for the State of Idaho is required of the successful bidder prior to the award of a contract. This contract will be for services to complete a wetland restoration project in the Mud Lake Wildlife Management Area (MDWMA). The MDWMA is located in Jefferson County, Idaho. Walnut Street Boise, Idaho 83707 (208) 287-2721 Email: matt.bryan@idfg.idaho.gov The Idaho Department of Fish and Game Mud Lake Marty Tract is located within the 11,468 acre Mud Lake Wildlife Management Area (MDWMA). The WMA includes 4,500 acre Mud Lake, a shallow open water marshy body of water. Between the completion of the original restoration and 2020, IDFG has been working on a plan to enhance the Marty Tract in a way that maximizes wetland functions with respect to the hydrology issues that have presented themselves. The future restoration plan of the site is to create a complex of shallow water areas surrounded by wet meadows with a large upland component. The goal of the project is to remove the berms that were formed in the initial construction and restore the area to functioning wet meadow/riparian habitat. Not only will this increase productivity of the Marty Tract but it will more than double the area of the functional wetlands in the project area.
