Renovation of a municipal facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project consists of the removal of an existing generator and accessories, and the furnishing and installation of a generator and associated site, building and utility work. This project has a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 4.1%. Reference Section 004100A for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Forms. Bid security for all General Bids in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check payable to the Owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount including alternates. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Questions pertaining to the project shall be addressed to Jeffrey Lynes Each bidder shall include in their proposal all costs for permits as may be required for their portion of the work. The Building Permit will be obtained and paid for by the General Contractor. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%), and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Division of Occupational Safety of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner.
