Renovation of a library in Welland, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The City of Welland on behalf of the Welland Public Library is seeking proponents to carry out the following which will be discussed in greater detail at the optional site visit: Provide materials and installation of ten accessibility push button plates (five doors, a plate on each side) and associated components to convert existing doors to button operated for indoor staff doors located in the basement hallway, workroom, storage and server room. In addition, a new accessible, lockable automatic motion sensing sliding glass door is to be installed at the branches public entrance. The Work will include the removal of the existing double doors. Replacement door should be a belt drive sliding door inclusive of all mechanical and trim work components for a professional, clean installation with all associated electrical work completed so unit is properly functioning. The unit may also require a scheduling controller so it can be locked and unlocked using a pre-programmed schedule (this will be discussed at the site meeting) The Work may be conducted after hours or on a weekend. Installation schedule will be discussed with the awarded bidder to establish a mutually acceptable schedule that will cause minimal disruption to the public and library operations. bid values not released for publication.
