The work to be done under this contract shall consist of the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment required for the application of liquid dust control solution on approximately 5 miles of unpaved streets in the City of Niles. 38% Liquid Calcium Chloride or an approved equal is the specified material. 38% Liquid Calcium Chloride or approved equal Calcium Chloride, minimum 38.0% Magnesium Chloride, maximum 0.21% Alkali Chloride, maximum 2.30% The work covered under these specifications shall be completed no earlier than May 16 th, 2022 and no later than May 27 th , 2022 unless otherwise waived by the DPW. Proposals for alternate dust control materials (Mineral Well Brine, Magnesium Chloride, etc.) will be considered. Alternate materials must provide equal estimated life expectancy to the 38% Liquid Calcium Chloride. If an alternate is being proposed, the information must be included on the proposal page.
