The City of Heber Springs, Arkansas, will accept sealed bids for the collection and disposal of Solid Waste, Recyclable Material and Yard Waste. The proposed contract will be for the exclusive rights to provide solid waste and recycling collection and disposal services within the City's corporate limits for an initial term of five (5) years. Contract and bid documents are on file and may be examined at the Mayor's Office at 1001 West Main Street, Heber Springs, Arkansas. Copies of these documents may be obtained from the Mayor's office upon request. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid guaranty as stipulated in the instructions to bidders. Bids received after that time and date will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope and shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope specifying that it is a bid for "Contract for Sanitation Services," the time for opening of bids, and the name of the bidder. DISCLAIMER: The City, by requesting bids for collection and disposal of Solid Waste, Recyclable Material and Yard Waste, is making an effort to determine whether contracting for said services is feasible, practical, and in the best interest of the City. This request for bids is non-binding and the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to contract with a single individual as provided by A.C.A. Sec. 8-6-111. The City also reserves the right to waive any informalities in the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Although the City reserves the right to withhold the acceptance of any and all bids, should a bid be accepted and a contract awarded, it shall be done within 60 days after the receipt of bids.
