Site work and paving for a civil project in Brookline, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The Town of Brookline is requesting bids for blacktop repairs on Putney Mountain Road caused by the July 29-30, 2021 disaster #4621. The damaged areas include the Grassy Brook bridge at the intersection of Putney Mtn. and Grassy Brook Rds. This area is 8 ' x 25 ', shall be cold planed to a depth of 2" and re-paved. And the washed out areas approximately 1 mile up Putney Mtn. Rd. These areas include the road edge 4' in width and 260' in length. The existing blacktop shall be saw cut, removed and properly disposed of. Excavated down to a depth of 4", compacted, replaced with 4" of new blacktop (21/2 " base and 11/2 " blacktop). The other area is to remove and properly dispose of approximately 10' x 80' of existing blacktop. Area then to be regraded by Town to proper elevation. Area to be compacted, then place 21/2 " of base and 11/2 " of blacktop. Any questions about the scope of work contact Mark Bills, Road Supervisor, @ 802- 258-1389. Contractor to be responsible for traffic control and maintaining one lane of traffic. The project must be completed by Sept 1, 2022. Please state the anticipated start date within bid. A current proof of workers compensation and general liability insurance must be included with the bid. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and accept a bid most favorable to the Town.
