**As of July 1, 2022, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $407,330.75.** Bids will be reviewed and publicly announced at the regular meeting of the Caln Township Board of Commissioners meeting of May 12, 2022 at 7:30 PM.Bid results will be posted online at portal following review at this meeting.The successful Bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay portal a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days The work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: milling, base repair, superpave wearing course, superpave binding course, stormwater inlet and pipe installation and concrete curb installation. The work is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project exhibits. All materials and their placement on Township Roads must be in compliance with Bulletin 15, Pub 242 and Pub 408 specifications. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $ 500.00 per calendar day. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. CALN TOWNSHIP reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof and to accept any Bids, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township. Questions will be accepted until 11:59 P.M., prevailing time, Thursday, April 28, 2022; questions will be accepted through PennBid, only from prime bidders.
