College View Middle School & Meadowlands Elementary School and Tamarack Elementary School. Reroofing work at three schools. The Work Includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, miscellaneous carpentry, modified bituminous membrane roofing, fluid applied roofing restoration, membrane reroofing preparation, manufactured roof specialties, joint sealants, paints and coatings, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. 1. College View Middle School: Paint/coating the existing metal roof and wall panels and replacement of copings, gutters and downspouts, and miscellaneous related work. 2. Meadowlands Elementary School: Coating of portions of existing roofs, repair /restoration of porcelain ceramic tiles, caulking, and miscellaneous related work. 3. Tamarack Elementary School: Partial roof replacement with new modified bitumen roofing, coating of portions of existing roofs, gutters and downspouts, and miscellaneous related work. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the Daviess County Public Schools. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days there from. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. Please refer to specification sections 00220 and 00450. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. The start date for on-site work shall be the day after the last day of school, approximately May 20, 2022. The substantial Completion date for the work at College View Middle School and Meadow Lands Elementary shall be August 5, 2022 The Substantial Completion date for the entire project shall be midnight, December 1, 2022.
