Site work for a civil project in Lamont, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.
Work at this site includes the removal and disposal of the existing 6.1 m type HC precast concrete girder bridge on a treated timber substructure and the installation of a new 10.0 m SL-510 prestressed concrete girder bridge on a steel substructure. The crossing is located on a local road over Limestone Creek, 3 km north east of St. Michael. A location plan has been included in the Plans section of this document for the Contractor’s convenience. Without limiting the provisions of these Specifications and Contract, the Scope of Work at this site shall include the following: Traffic Accommodation Demolition and Disposal of Bridge Structure Headslope Preparation and Backfill Supply and Installation of Piling Supply, Delivery and Erection of Prestressed SL-510 Interior and Exterior Precast Units Roadway Work Supply and Installation of Bridgerail and Guardrail Supply and Placement of Class 1 Heavy Rock Riprap Supply and Installation of Erosion Control Soil Covering (Type C) Supply and Installation of Erosion Control Barrier (Straw Fibre Roll) Documents can be obtained from www.purchasingconnection.ca.
