A network of trails throughout the Banff Recreation Grounds totaling an approximate length of 1,320m (plus 145m provisional) organized in sub-projects per the following Unit Rate Schedules: Schedule A - General Provisions Schedule B - Central Trail Schedule C - Maintenance Trail Schedule D - West Trail Schedule E - North Trail Schedule F - PROVISIONAL - Central Horse Trail Schedule G - Jasper to Cave Trail Work of this Contract comprises the following: .1 CASH ALLOWANCE: Collaboration and support to Owner (Town of Banff) to obtain approval of an Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) from Parks Canada. Refer to DRAFT EPP attachment for more information. .2 Mobilization (including signage and construction fencing as needed for public safety) and Demobilization. .3 Demolition including: demolition and disposal existing elements. excavation and disposal of existing excavated materials. salvage / storage / reinstallation of existing elements. .4 Tree Removals, Stump Removals, Clearing and Grubbing (including stump grinding). .5 Earthworks including rough and fine grading, exported fill material, imported raw loam, over excavation and disposal of unsuitable subgrade (contingent item) and common fill to replace unsuitable subgrade (contingent item). .6 Soft Landscape Construction including seeding. .7 Hard Landscape Construction including asphalt pathways, granular pedestrian trails, granular horse trails, wood edgers, culvert crossings, concrete curb and vertical root barrier. .8 Specific to Jasper to Cave Trail (drawings and specifications by WSP): trail cutting, earthworks, gravel trail, stack stone retaining wall, seeding, planting (trees, shrubs and perennials), bark mulch and a post and rail fence. .9 For all sub-projects: Maintenance for all seeded areas until establishment / FAC. .10 For al sub-projects: Red-lined as-built drawing creation.
