Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Banff, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Replacement of the existing backcountry shelters at Egypt Lake and Bryant Creek. The new shelters (max. 1,000 sq. ft. in for max. of 12 people) will modernize the offering for visitors and offer a comfortable yet minimalist backcountry experience. The shelters are to be designed in such a way that they are able to be prefabricated and modularized as much as possible to reduce construction work in the back country. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking proposals for design services. The requirement is for an experienced contractor to work collaboratively with to develop the design, create detailed drawings, specifications and construction tender packages. Foundation and greywater design to be completed in early 2023 and foundation and greywater construction to begin in summer of 2023, with shelter design completing later in 2023 and shelter construction commencing in 2024. *Budget is unreleased.
