The City of Vancouver (City) of its intent to contract with Kwik Trap (KwikTrap) for Supply and Delivery of Catch Basin Flap Traps. The City of Vancouver is using the Trapping Hood designed by KwikTrap for catch-basin project to improve the water quality by filtering smaller particles of plastics, garbage and debris from entering nearby receiving waters as part of a pilot initiative. The Flap Trap manufactured by KiwkTrap worked well with the Trapping Hood being used by City. The added feature of the particle screen or flap, is a completely different model than the standard trapping hood and is designed to minimize the size of unwanted particles entering the storm system. The contract is valued at approximately $67,000 supply for approximately 3 years. The City will offer an initial 3-year contract with Kwik Trap.
