The work will involve removal of the existing bridge superstructure, replacement with an adjacent new single span steel structure with abutments founded on micropiles and appurtenant work as shown on the plans and described in the proposal book. The work to be performed is to include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required for all work indicated in the Contract Documents for this project. Replacement of the Grassy Point Road (CR 108) Bridge over Minisceongo Creek Pin 8762.14 Town of Haverstraw Rockland County, New York Bids received after the above noted time will not be accepted. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the order of the Commissioner of Finance of the County of Rockland or by a bid bond executed by a surety company acceptable to the County of Rockland, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, made out to the Commissioner of Finance of Rockland County. No cash will be accepted for this bid. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within forty-five (45) days after the date set forth for the opening thereof. The County of Rockland reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in awarding a contract or reject any or all bids. Contract award is subject to the review and approval of the Rockland County Legislature.
