The project consists of providing a two stage reverse osmosis (RO) production unit using commercially available components (Pilot Unit) with a minimum permeate production capacity of 80 gpm using seven (7) standard 8 in. diameter x 40 in. long 400 sq ft elements in series per stage. The RO pilot unit will be used to evaluate the performance of commercially available low pressure, thin film composite polyamide membranes typically used for producing potable water from brackish water with 1000 and 4000 mg/L total dissolved solids (TDS). Bids must be submitted on the complete unit. The Brazosport Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding ninety (90) days from the Bid opening date. Bids shall remain firm for that period. Effective January 1, 2016, Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 requires persons who enter into contract with a government entity to submit a disclosure of interested parties (Form 1295) to the governmental entity or state agency at the time the business entity submits the signed contract to the governmental entity or state agency. The law applies only to a contract of a governmental entity or state agency that either (1) requires an action or vote by the governing body of the entity or agency before the contract may be signed or (2) has a value of at least $1 million.
