The bids are for the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment for the Wedge Coat/Grader Pave of Middle Ridge Road From Baumhart Road to Vermilion Road in Brownhelm Township, Lorain County, using various materials in accordance with specifications prepared by the office of Ken Carney, Lorain County Engineer. All materials and equipment must meet the specifications of the Ohio Department of Transportation and shall include all necessary barricades, signs, lights, watchmen, etc., and work performed shall be under the supervision of the Lorain County Engineer and Brownhelm Township. All contractors involved with this project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of this project. Bidders shall submit a list of equipment available and labor shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division. Bidders are hereby notified that funds to be expended for this project are being furnished by Brownhelm Township. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, or a bond for the full amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and a contract bond properly secured. Should any bid be rejected, such instrument will be forthwith returned upon proper execution of a contract. Each bid shall contain the full name or names of persons and company submitting the bid and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked Middle Ridge Road Wedge coat/grader pave. The Board of Township Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of Brownhelm Township to do so. Any exceptions of the specifications are to be made in writing to the Brownhelm Township Trustees, 1940 N Ridge Rd, Vermilion, OH 44089. Engineer's Estimate for this work is $63,000.00.
