Questions Deadline Date May 3, 2022 - 4:00 ET The purpose and intent of this invitation to bid is to establish contract(s) with experienced, qualified, bonded and licensed contractors to provide for Roofing Repair Services (all labor, personnel, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials, etc.), on designated work tasks, which cannot be handled in-house. Services will be required on an as needed basis, district wide. This bid will establish fixed hourly labor rate(s) and firm percentages for parts, supplies and materials (unless materials/parts designated to be provided by the district), and applicable per crew rates (if applicable), for the contract period as specified herein. Projects associated with this bid shall not exceed $200,000.00. Services include, but are not limited to: - Portable Roof Recoating Systems; - Gutter Repair and Replacement; - Repair and Installation of Shingle Roofing; - Aluminum Soffit Repair and Replacement; - Repair and Installation of Singly Ply Roof Membranes; - Various/Minor Roof Flashing Repairs; - Apply Single Ply Roof Coating Systems; - Repair and Install Metal Roofing. Projects estimated costs meeting or exceeding costs outlined in School Board Policy Construction Contracting and Bidding, must go through the sealed bid process and meet all applicable bonding requirements and advertising, per School Board Policies and Florida Statutes 255.0525. The decision to solicit sealed bids for such projects will be the responsibility of appropriate district personnel prior to releasing the project. All contractors, including the successful vendors awarded this contract, will then have an opportunity to submit bids. All work performed under this contract shall meet the requirements of the most current editions of the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), Florida Building Codes and Florida Fire Prevention Codes. The Contract Period shall commence upon contract award, and end three (3) year from date of award. However, this bid shall be subject to a review at the end of each twelve (12) month period from the date of award and subject to cancellation. This contract may be extended ninety (90) days beyond the contract expiration date, if needed, to allow for the Board approval of renewals. The awarded vendor(s) agree to this condition by signing their bid submittal. The awardee(s) will be notified by the Purchasing Department when this recommendation has been acted upon. By mutual consent of the School Board of Hernando County, Florida, and the successful bidder, this contract may be renewed for three (3) additional one (1) year periods
