Prior to beginning work under this Contract, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for approval, two copies of the Contractor's proposed plan and methods for performing the work, including a listing of equipment and personnel anticipated for use. No U-turns shall be permitted as a condition of this Contract, except at Service Plazas. The Contractor shall perform all work night hours in accordance with the Turnpike Lane Closure Policy. All lane closures shall be during the hours of 9:00 P.M to 5:00 A.M. and in one direction for one lane only. No Pre-bid Conference Will Be Held for This Project. Expertise and Experience is required in the performance of Pavement Markings. The Experience in Pavement Markings Form (850-070-06) must be filled out and submitted to be reviewed by the Department. If a Contractor is presently prequalified with the Department in pavement marking, it is not necessary to submit the form. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
