Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 141,420-square-foot, 11-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
As UBC moves to a more sustainable energy system, the Power House will be decommissioned and repurposed for the UBC Sauder School of Business expansion. The Power House expansion is a proposed new tower plus podium, mixed-use academic facility that will be located on West Mall, on the west side of the Henry Angus Building. The project includes the rehabilitation and reuse of the Power House. The scale and massing of the expansion is contingent on the successful reuse of this important heritage asset. TIMELINE: Work on site is anticipated to commence in September 2024.
