Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
The Work of this Contract, designated U60-9 - Queen's Park and St. Patrick Stations - Finishes Renewal, consists of: The supply of labour, equipment, and materials to remove and dispose of porcelain enamel metal wall finish panels and temporary lighting supports at the platform level, and relocation of supports for conduit and signage attached to the panels at St. Patrick and Queen's Park Stations. As part of the removals, the Work will require asbestos removals, refer to Article 5.6 for additional information. The Work will also include the removal and installation of masonry removal and re-instatement of new porcelain enamel metal wall finish panels, metal ceiling system, lighting, CCTV, PA, and painting of cast-iron liners. A detailed description of the work performed by the Bidder highlighting the commonality and similarity of the work performed including relevant experience on the following: - Multi-disciplinary retrofit type projects involving asbestos abatement, civil, mechanical, electrical, structural disciplines including the tie-in and interface with existing site structures and systems; - Projects with limited working and staging areas; - Projects in transit or similar operating environments involving complex constraints due to limited access and restrictive operating hours, various shifts and complex sequencing/staging of work required to accommodate continuous operations of the facility; and - Infrastructure rehabilitation projects involving general contractor, subcontractors, designer, authorities having jurisdiction (for example, ESA, transit authorities, municipal bodies, etc.) where the Bidder's scope of work was a value of at least $10M with a duration of at least 1.5 years; Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
