Site work for a water / sewer project in Florence, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work under this project shall include, but not be limited to, all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified in the approved bid documents. Bidders are requested to quote unit prices for the work as set out in the bidding documents. The unit price shall be full compensation for all work required to satisfactorily complete the items of work involved. Bidders must place their Alabama State Contractors License number on the face of the bid envelope and on the bid documents. Each bidder shall file with his bid a bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the bid amount up to a maximum of $10,000.00, payable to the City of Florence, Alabama. Each bidder must file either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama Bank or a bid bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make bonds in the State of Alabama. For contracts in excess of $50,000.00, the successful bidder will be required to furnish, at the time of the signing of the contract, a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% the contract price. Also, a Payment Bond will be required in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days from the date set for receiving of the same.
