BOUSE KOFA DOME TAP GILA RECONDUCTORING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) related to the Bouse Kofa Dome Tap Gila Reconductoring Project. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $39.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $20,000,000 and $23,000,000.00. Place of performance will be in La Paz and Yuma County, Arizona. This project consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary for: Dome-Gila: Removing existing copper conductor and reconductoring 1.23-miles of transmission line with ACSS conductor from structure 115/1 to the Gila side of dead-end structure 116/4. Removing two (2) existing steel overhead ground wires and installing one (1) Government-furnished optical ground wire and installing one (1) Government furnished steel overhead ground wire on 1.23-miles of transmission line. Splicing optical overhead ground wire to optical overhead ground wire at structure 115/1. Splicing optical overhead ground wire to fiber optic distribution cable at structure 116/4. Splicing pigtail connectors to fiber optic distribution cable in the communications room in the Gila maintenance building. Install Government-furnished fiber optic patch panel in existing communication rack in the Gila maintenance building communication room. End to end testing of the fiber optic system between Dome Tap and the patch panel in the Gila maintenance building communications room. Kofa-Dome: Removing existing copper conductor and reconductoring 7.5-miles of transmission line with ACSS conductor. Removing two (2) existing steel overhead ground wires and installing one (1) Government-furnished optical ground wire and furnishing and installing one (1) steel overhead ground wire on 7.5-miles of transmission line. Removing eight (8) transmission line wood pole structures and one (1) transmission line light-duty steel pole structures. Installing eight (8) new transmission line light-duty steel structures and one (1) new transmission line heavy-duty steel pole structure. Furnishing, installing and terminating fiber optics at Kofa Substation (KOF). Furnishing and installing aluminum conductor and associated fittings at KOF. Bouse Kofa 161kV Transmission Line Reconductoring 76.1-miles of 161-kV transmission line with ACSS conductor. Removing existing overhead ground wires and furnishing and installing 84.3-miles of one (1) optical ground wire and 75.9-miles of one (1) steel overhead ground wire. Removing 83 transmission line wood pole structures and eight (8) transmission line light duty steel pole structures. Installing 88 new transmission line light-duty steel structures and two (2) new transmission line heavy-duty steel pole structures. Furnishing, installing and terminating fiber optics at Bouse Switchyard (BSE) and Kofa Substation (KOF).
