Renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and office development.
The front entrance to the New Education Building at 301 N. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, requires redesign. The door mechanisms to the revolving doors have worn out and are unable to be repaired. As these doors are locked after hours for security, they also prevent egress from the building, causing a major safety hazard. This project will replace the revolving doors with a storefront system, swinging doors and an air lock. Doors will be provided with panic hardware egress, security badge and ADA access.
