This project will be partially supported by FEMA Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) grant funding and consists of the replacement of a new floating dock / lift system and an access ramp at the Port of Stockton. The improvements will be located at the northeast corner of the Port's East Complex. This project includes removal of the following: Existing timber walkways, existing canopy, existing security fence, trees, shrubs, and concrete. This project also includes installment of a new floating dock system including all appurtenant float items required to assemble the floats into a complete dock system and an access ramp to the new floating dock, construction of 1,800 square feet of new floating dock system, a 40' x 4' gangway, ADA access ramp and landing area, bracing and structural supports for canopy, lighting system, security camera system, new water line and installation of a new security fence. The Jet Dock system and 40' x 4' gangway will be Port furnished and Port installed. Work shall be finally completed within 80 working days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. A California "A" Contractor License is required to Bid this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Port will permit successful Bidder to substitute securities for retention monies withheld to ensure performance of Contract, as set forth in Document 00680 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention), in accordance with California Public Contract Code, Section 22300. By this reference, Document 00680 (Escrow Agreement for Security Deposits in Lieu of Retention) is incorporated in full in this Document 00100. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. Port shall not accept a Bid from a Bidder who is ineligible to bid or work on, or be awarded, a public works project pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1777.1 or 1777.7. Bidder shall not include in its Bid any subcontractor who is ineligible to bid or work on, or be awarded, a public works project pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1777.1 or 1777.7. Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, or rebid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from Bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the Work.
