Hoffman Construction Company of Washington has been selected as the Design-Builder in conjunction with Opsis Architects for the - UW IMA Locker Rooms and Pool Upgrades ("Project") being performed for University of Washington ("Owner"). We invite you to submit a Sub-bid proposal and/or Material Quotation in your area of expertise and in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals ("RFP"). Bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in RCW Title 39 Public Contracts and Indebtedness and RCW Title 49 Labor Regulations. Workers must be paid not less than the Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Contracts in King County effective December 2, 2021. A copy of the applicable prevailing wage rates is available for viewing at Design Builder's office and from https://www.lni.wa.gov/TradesLicensing/PrevWage/WageRates/default.asp Owner has established an overall aspirational goal of 20% Business Equity Enterprise (BEE utilization, inclusive of 15% minority and women-owned business utilization. Contractor and Owner welcomes the participation of all BEE, irrespective of gross revenues, including those that are self-designated and those that are state (OMWBE) certified. Subcontractor shall comply with Chapter 39.19 RCW to provide maximum practicable opportunity for increased participation by minority and women owned and control businesses in public works. An updated M/W contracting report shall be provided with each progress billing. Bidders must be properly licensed with the Washington Construction Contractors Board (CCB) at the time of bid. Bidders must be properly licensed with Washington’s Department of Labor and Industries at the time of bid.
