Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Stouffville, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Bruce's Mill Conservation Park is an active use park with several facilities and activities for all ages including hiking and recreational cycling. A wooden boardwalk structure was constructed many years ago link two areas of interest within the seasonally wet area of the ravine. This boardwalk is now past effective life span and needs to be removed to address public safety concerns and to make way for an alternative trail solution. Park location: Stouffville Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville. The dilapidated boardwalk to be removed is approximately 210m long and 1.5m wide. The approximate quantity of material to be removed would be roughly: - 1380 deck board (5'1 x 6 hemlock) - 88 sills (5'8 x 8 hemlock) - 260 stringers (8'4 x 4 hemlock) All material will need to be removed via the east side of the work area. It is anticipated that disposal bins can be placed in the Staging Area noted in Figure #1. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the precise conditions and location details and make appropriate allowances for any repair to the trails.
