The Contractor's scope of work is to provide services and equipment for applying HF-150sAS emulsion, and 3/8" clear chip (supplied by the District) using a Flaherty chip spreader and rollers. Supply equipment services for spreading of HF-150sAS emulsion at a minimum of 1.9 - 2.1litres/m2 Provide a Flaherty chip spreader with 2 rollers for spreading and rolling District supplied 3/8" clear chips Trucking services Traffic controls services The District will supply one tandem truck, one single axle dump truck and one loader with operators, the Contractor will be responsible to provide all other required equipment and labour to complete the work. 26.1 All enquiries regarding this tender must be directed to Fernando Pimentel, Manager of Finance, via email to purchasing@csaanich.ca. All questions should be received at least 5 (five) days prior to the closing time and date. 26.2 The District will not be responsible for, and the Tenderer shall not rely upon, information, instructions or clarifications given to a Tenderer other than in the form of a written addendum issued by the District. Without limiting the foregoing, any verbal representations, promises, statements or advice made by any employees of the District, other than that offered through the office of Purchasing Coordinator, should not be relied upon.
If Overtime is required to complete the work the hourly rate after 8 hours up to 12 hours will be 1.5 of regular rate. Any work after twelve hours will be paid at double time. This applies to hourly rate on operators only. The Districts Chipseal program for 2022 is estimated at 15,000 m2. It is anticipated that the work will be completed within one or two days, generally the first or second week of July each year. The annual estimated quantities are estimates based on forecasted need. The District makes no representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy or correctness of these estimates. Should the District require more or less than the estimate, the unit price will remain the same. The District will consider a reasonable adjustment to the price of the emulsion in year two if there is a significant increase in the cost of oil from the first year.
