As of September 14, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Replacement of approximately 1,704 LF of 8-inch VCP sewer pipe, 105 LF of replacement 8-inch DIP sewer pipe, 1,665 LF of replacement 10-inch VCP sewer pipe, 613 LF of pipe bursting 8-inch VCP with 8-inch HDPE sewer pipe, associated laterals, replacement of 19 manholes, 44 LF of replacement 15-inch HDPE storm sewer, 80 LF of replacement 18-inch HDPE storm sewer and 42 LF of replacement 30-inch HDPE storm sewer. The Authority owns a 6-foot diameter precast concrete manhole consisting of the base and a 5-foot high 6-foot diameter wall section that must be used at one of the drop manhole locations in the Regency Drive Project Area shown on the Drawings. The manhole was manufactured by Atlantic Concrete in 2021 and is located behind the Lower Providence Fire House at the intersection of E. Mt. Kirk Ave. and Ridge Pike. The manhole will require core drilling and the bench modified to accommodate an 8-inch sewer pipe. Item No. 76 in the Bid Form is for moving and installing this manhole in the Project Area.
