For the improvement of certain section of highways and bridges in WAYNE COUNTY, STERLING TOWNSHIP, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, STATE ROUTE 191, SECTION 649. Bridge restoration including superstructure replacement on State Route 0191 (Twin Rocks Road) in Sterling Township, Wayne County. The bridge is a single span adjacent box beam bridge on full height abutments. The proposed superstructure will be rolled steel beams with a precast concrete deck and PPC overlay. This will be a design/bid/build project using accelerated construction techniques to minimize duration of impacts to the travelling public and the local community. Abutment spall repairs, dumped rip-rap scour protection, and bridge seat reconstruction are also included in the work. All work will be performed from the roadway with no access roads or other earth disturbance required to perform the work. Substructure repairs and rip rap placement will be completed from the roadway after the superstructure is removed and concurrent with bridge seat reconstruction work.
