Renovation of a water / sewer project in Sturgis, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project includes the demolition of two (2) existing Motor Control Centers (MCC), one (1) in the Control Building and one (1) in the Digester Building, at the City of Sturgis Wastewater Treatment Facility. The project also includes providing new transformers, 120/208V panels, and motor starters for existing loads, as well as extending existing circuits. Finally, the project involves providing new disconnect switches, 2-button start/stop controls, circuits, and starters in the existing MCC for Primary Clarifiers 1&2. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Sturgis reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of Sturgis. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds: When Contractor delivers the signed counterparts of the Agreement to Owner, Contractor shall also deliver to Owner the performance bond and payment bond (if the Contract requires Contractor to furnish such bonds).
