The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Furnish and install two (2) 12" Ames 4000SS reduced pressure back flow preventer (BFP) assemblies, one for each of the two existing potable water meters servicing the Eastern Processing Facility (EPF) Facility 20701 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. As of April 29, 2022, a general contractor has not yet been assigned to this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Recommended period of performance is 120 days subsequent to the award of task order Magnitude of Construction: Pursuant to FAR 36.204 the magnitude of this project is: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Bid Bond of 20% is required over $150,000.00 Payment Bond is required over $150,000.00 Performance Bond over $150,000.00 Subject project calls for a proposal to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and transport necessary in performing all work required to install two 12" Ames 4000SS reduced pressure back flow preventer (BFP) assemblies, one for each of the two existing potable water meters servicing the Eastern Processing Facility (EPF), Facility 20701, at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS). Provide the government a complete and usable facility in accordance with the Project Drawings and Specific on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), FL. Location: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, CCSFS, Florida Provide the labor, materials, and equipment to install two 12" Ames 4000SS reduced pressure back flow preventer (BFP) assemblies, one for each of the two existing potable water meters servicing the Eastern Processing Facility (EPF), Facility 20701, at CCSFS. The scope includes: a. One BFP to be installed near the south driveway entrance to the EPF between the valve and the meter, install near the meter side to avoid swale. See the attached maps with locations. b. The second BFP to be installed at the north driveway entrance to the EPF between the valve and the meter, the BFP will be east of Philips Parkway (the valve is in the median between the northbound and southbound lanes. See the attached maps with locations. c. For each BFP, 3" concrete pad 18" each side of the pipe and length to be 1' past underground interface. d. For each BFP, bollards at each corner of the pad to protect the BFP. e. For each BFP, pressure test results and certification by a certified Backflow Prevention technician. f. For each BFP and associated piping, chlorination per CLOIS instructions (attached) is followed by satisfactory BACT test results. g. Electronic survey locations of changes made to the water system as it is a configured system. Can be a CAD or a GIS file.
