The Village of Round Lake will hire a consultant in order to complete a tree inventory survey for the Village of Round Lake's right of way streets, parks, and lands. The goal of the project is to create a tree inventory that can serve as a foundation for increased community investment and the future care of the Village's community forest. The consultant will conduct an inventory of existing trees, stumps, and potential planting spaces in preparation to developing a management plan or implementing a planting or maintenance project. The intent of the inventory project is to get a picture of the size, species, health, and geographic distribution of the urban forest. The certified arborist chosen for the project will be required to have an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) professional certification. The Village Board of the Village of Round Lake reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids without any explanation. There will be no pre-bid meeting. All bidding questions shall be directed to Gary Putman, Mayor of Round Lake at (518) 899-2800 or mayor@roundlakevillage.org. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
