Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of Providing longterm support of the existing Linden Drive Pedestrian Bridge using a combination of steel beams and channels placed top and bottom side of the bridge connected by coil rod hangers and supported by the existing abutments The bridge support structure will require minor improvements to the existing abutments including casting new concrete pedestals Additional improvements include providing new pedestrian fencing on the east and west ends of the bridge and providing new utility supports for the existing sidemounted utility packages as shown on the plans The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
