The Project work to be bid on is as follows: The Project includes tasks associated with sewer line rehabilitation using cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) or pipe bursting; sewer line replacement by open cut; manhole rehabilitation and manhole replacement; sewer lateral rehabilitation by CIPP and replacement; point repairs to existing sewer lines to repair defects; sewer line cleaning; sewer line CCTV inspection; sewer line and sewer lateral dye testing; and other miscellaneous work. The total contract duration will be 4-years. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee and listed as a certified company in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of five percent of the Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within 120 calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. The City of Chattanooga is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded with local funds in addition to funds indicated elsewhere. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of its Bid in response to this Invitation to Bid. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise.
