This Request for Information (RFI) is to understand the type, availability and implementation of skid mounted modular pressure filters in the market when used to remove dissolved iron and manganese from potable ground water. More specifically, this RFI is looking to: Express interest in and gain a more comprehensive understanding of skid mounted modular pressure filters (or alternative pressure vessel based technology) with respect to: Physical dimensions of assembled equipment (typical relationship between vessel size/diameter/numbers with volumes and other raw water conditions) Default valving/sensor configurations (flow sensors, pressure sensors, filter to waste valves, control valves, air scouring valves etc.) Filter media requirements (preference is to use either GreensandPlus or Pyrolusite for all facilities) Depth of each filter media Typical warranties for the filter media Typical conditions of performance-based warranties Customizability Can provisional valving for an air scouring system be incorporated into the pressure vessel to allow for future implementation Compatibility with electric actuator Typical head loss per skid at various flows Backwashing process and requirements (e.g. is air scouring required, Additional chemicals, Typical volumes as a percentage of raw water treated) Instrumentation requirements and programing methodology for filter control (Please note, the Region will be using its own software and controls panels).
