Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Merritt, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The proposed contract consists of installation of one 18.7 m steel girder superstructure with composite concrete deck, on steel pipe risers and pre-cast concrete footings on Maka-Murray FSR. Service will include the removal of the existing culverts and road fill. Service will include supply and placement of rip rap and completion of all new bridge approach road works within 20m of each end of bridge. Service will include reconstruction of the stream channel. Service will include completion of new road alignment (partially completed previously by others). Service will include deactivation of existing road. Site access details: From Merritt, travel south on Hwy 5, Coquihalla, for 29 km and turn left onto Exit 256. Take Exit 256 and turn left onto Coldwater Rd. Travel north on the Coldwater Rd for approximately 2.5 km and turn left onto the Gillis Rd. Travel for approximately 600 m on the Gillis Rd and keep right onto the Maka-Murray FSR. Travel 3 km on the Maka-Murray FSR to the site. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
