Site work and paving for a parking garage in Portage, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a parking garage; and for paving for a parking garage.
Build a secure heated enclosed garage adjacent to the north annex over the current police parking area and connect the new structure to the existing building. An enclosed garage facility for police vehicles is needed to improve officer safety, improve security of vehicles and the vehicle's equipment, reduce maintenance costs, reduce carbon footprint by eliminating the need for vehicle idling, eliminate the need for parking lot snow removal, improve emergency response times by eliminating snow removal from cars thereby,extending the life of the vehicles. This project is in included in the City of Portage FY 2022-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of May 4, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
