The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management is seeking bids to renovate a portion of the School for a small commercial kitchen and an existing restroom, and provide additional interior subdivision of space for offices. Alternate work consists of asphalt pavement replacement and expansion in multiple alternate areas. The construction project will include site-work, plumbing, electrical, and heating and ventilation The City of Springfield, invites electronic bids from Prime Contractors and Filed Sub-Bidders through portal , Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category, "General Contractor."Estimated cost of the project is Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00). Questions must be submitted in writing to the City (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) by close of business on May 19, 2022 for general bidders in order to be considered.The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.'
