The City of Santa Clara ("City") is soliciting proposals from qualified firms ("Proposer") to furnish all labor, materials, tools, permits, and equipment necessary to provide Gas and Air Compressor Preventative Maintenance Services, Maintenance and Repairs for Silicon Valley Power ("SVP"), the City's Electric Utility, in accordance with federal and state regulations Deadline for Questions and Objections: May 20, 2022 before 5:00 PM PST The purpose of this RFP is to enter one or more master contracts for services on an as-required basis. As tasks are identified, work orders will be awarded based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to cost, expertise, and availability. In its sole discretion, the City may obtain quotes amongst the vendors selected through this process or assign work directly and without obtaining multiple quotes. Work order values can range from $15,000 to up to $120,000 depending on the size and complexity of the task. The terms "City" and "SVP"; "bidder", and "proposer" are used interchangeably throughout this document. The City of Santa Clara Cogen is a cogeneration facility that utilizes two (2) gas turbines for power generation. Additionally, the waste heat is collected to generate steam for supply to a paper mill. This facility is rated at 7 Megawatts. The City reserves the right to accept an offer in- full, or in-part, or to reject all offers.
