Franklin Middle School Painting and Roofing Project - Provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the Franklin MS minor exterior building repairs, portable gutter replacement, lead paint stabilization, and painting all exterior building surfaces, Location- 540 Cerritos Ave Long Beach, CA 90802 ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $240,000 PROJECT DURATION: 60 (SIXTY) consecutive calendar days. Each bidder shall possess a valid B license at the time of bid submission and be registered with the DIR. All work performed for this project must be done by properly licensed and/or certified contractors/subcontractors. Franklin MS pre-paint repairs, lead paint stabilization and painting project. No contractor or subcontractor shall be listed in a bid for a public work project unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid. A. Where existing metals that were previously painted and are showing signs of rust and corrosion, they shall be prepared, primed with red oxide primer and painted per the project specifications. B. All murals, signs and building identifications at all school sites shall be protected from new paint. New paint shall be cut in clean and tight along existing lines and edges of murals and signs. Any building painted signage and/or lettering identification shall be repainting to match existing, like-for-like. C. After ball-walls are painted, play lines per detail in specifications shall be installed on all ball-walls. Apply two (2) coats of paint on play lines. D. Minor wood repairs shall be filled with Bondo or other District approved filler, shaped, sanded and primed and painted per the specifications. Other smaller voids and cracks shall be caulked with standard latex "painters caulk". Secure all screws/nails not completely fastened into walls, skirts, fascia, etc. E. Minor stucco repairs shall be filled with District approved stucco patch per project specification. F. Minor concrete repairs shall be filled with material pre-approved by the Project Manager.
